Willst zu meinen Liedern deine Leier dreh'n?
I should start carrying a camera again. Last Friday, there was a man playing a hurdy-gurdy outside the Harvard Book Store. I'd never seen one in real life. I didn't recognize any of the tunes. I had Winterreise stuck in my head for the rest of the day.
Also, there now exist color photographs of post-earthquake-and-fire San Francisco.

Let me know if it turns out you can. That'd be awesome.

I once saw a concert by a family group (parents and two sons) with hurdy-gurdies and a harpsichord in a coffee shop in Danbury. My mother and I were the only folk who showed up, which was unfortunate.
I had Winterreise stuck in my head for the rest of the day.
I hope this was an enjoyable experience.
*Of course, now I've said (or even thought) that, two of them, badly tuned (and probably in different keys, for maximum horribleness) and played by stunningly clueless individuals, will infest my favourite sessions. ;-)

I know! Once to be found in droves throughout the great cities of Europe, now reduced to solitary wanderers on foreign shores . . .

I never had seen him before.
