Everyone seems to be all right. I spent the afternoon shoveling.

The first part I'm very glad of. The second... well, there's worse things, I suppose. Took something approaching four hours to dig out this morning, I did, but it went easy enough once I finally managed to get the snowblower working, and I'm not a hundred percent sure I didn't do that by using the dark side of the Force on the sparkplug.

Are you kidding? We got something over a foot, I think. What with the wind, there were two-foot drifts on top of my mother's car, which was ridiculous.

Not kidding, only hopeful. I thought I'd heard something on the radio or the television yesterevening to the effect that Massachusetts hadn't be hit as badly as us. We had something over a foot as well--I'm thinking the official figure was fourteen inches--and much windblown drifting.

(Good.)

Thank you. The wheel cover is damaged where it hit the kerb, but the wheel itself and the alignment seem to be okay. I'm actually grateful for the kerb, as I suspect it helped prevent the car sliding further.
