There's thirteen months all in one year

I wish I'd been able to observe the eclipse last night, but we had total cloud cover till dawn: which reflected a beautiful light onto the snow, but I'd rather have had a copper-disappearing moon. Nonetheless, I read Roman Jakobson on the Russian futurists and talked, very late, with [livejournal.com profile] rushthatspeaks. Tonight I am in Providence with [livejournal.com profile] greygirlbeast, [livejournal.com profile] humglum, and [livejournal.com profile] readingthedark. We had calzones for dinner; we've read through the first two chapters of The Drowning Girl; I think we might be watching a movie for the rest of the night. We do what we must to bring the sun back. Happy solstice, all.

Tis pity that you didn't get to watch the eclipse. I saw the beginnings, through light clouds, but ended up going to bed. I'm glad you had other pleasant things to do that night, and have other such tonight.

Happy Solstice!

You might be pleased to know I wrote some things. And I was so cranky yesterday when I couldn't write more. And then I fell asleep.

Bewilderingly exciting, I know. Still. Expect Things.

Hope you are having a marvelous time. Don't get into anybody's TARDIS without fastening the safety belt.

You're generally the only one who sees such things any more. At least my technique doesn't sag as much in my old age as the things only my wife sees any more.
