You'll get more than you're asking for without the right protection

From conversation with [livejournal.com profile] fleurdelis28 and experimentation with the Livejournal Haiku Generator, we have come to the conclusion that she's got the Book of Common Prayer living in her livejournal, and I've got a Beat poet. Or possibly a stray Imagist. The jury's still out.

(Cut for some surprisingly nice imagery, considering we're seven syllables up from a Markov generator here.)

About half of these really sound as though they deserve stories, or might be small stories themselves. (And you should see some of [livejournal.com profile] fleurdelis28's.) I'll have to go back sometime and see what I can do. Unless anyone out there wants to take over the job . . .

P.S: For an article headlined "UK Targeted for Massive Trojan Attacks," I am very disappointed at the dearth of angry Iliadic warriors.

Book of Common Prayer Fortune Cookie, thank you very much!

These are great, both individually and as sequence.

I wonder whether the person who made the script has changed things a bit. Verbs are abandoned less often now (as I recall).

Hah. Suddenly I'm reminded of the fake history of Britain that tied its founding to the fall of Troy. Gotta love fake histories.

It looked exactly the same, but the results were fragmentary more often--third line dropping off mid-phrase, e.g.

That is, I'm guessing that my flist has not begun en masse to write posts that lend themselves better to the generator, though it's possible. ;)

It's a lovely idea for a meme! I don't know how many would take it up, though.

That, that is a story just waiting to happen, or perhaps the caption for a painting, or a necklace made by [livejournal.com profile] elisem.

Why not? I thought about pointing her to it, honestly, it seems just so made for a haiku necklace...
