I'm delighted you had such a lovely holiday, and survived the leeches and mountain and all. And I'm even more delighted that it didn't crash on your return. I'm sure the childer weren't so badly traumatised; that sort of thing is more like to be traumatising to responsible adults than it actually is to their offspring, I think.
I'm currently in Esopus, sleeping in a vast and mostly empty barracks-like room (used for summer camps, I think), and trying to not speak English for most of the day. I've got my new-to-me octave mandolin along with, and am having to restrain myself from sneaking away to play on her for far too much of the time.
