I suspect I will! I can always use a little more rich and strange in my life, and recognitions thereof. One recent memory that's been tickling at me the whole day -- your reply to clarionj below brought it to the surface -- is seeing or reading an interview with a modern director who talked about meeting Powell late in Powell's life -- oh good, found it! It was Martin Scorsese, who oversaw the restoration of The Red Shoes. It seems after his heyday Powell went through a long period having no idea how much he had influenced the next generation of directors, and Scorsese helped bring him around. A little heartbreaking / heartwarming to read. (Another piece here.)
