Shoot straight, you bastards—don't make a mess of it!
Ave atque vale, Edward Woodward. I have no idea what he was like in private life, but I will remember him always as a year-king or a soldier-poet, a sacrifice, and singing.
Eric and I are off to New York City in pursuit of The Red Shoes (1948). I think this will be a good thing.
My poem "Anakatabasis" has been accepted by Not One of Us.

That's it exactly!
(I get the impression- from what I've read- that he was a good man- and well loved.)

And thanks for letting us know about Edward Woodward, may he rest in peace. I'd forgot that he was in both those films. A fine actor, in any event.

It's an invention; since the prefix ἀνα- can connote again or in turn, it should mean "redescent."

Thank you. The quest was indeed a success.
(And yes, you do.)

Thank you!
A real sense of disconnection in a consistent piece.

He appeared once on an episode of Crusade with his son, Peter Woodward, who was a regular, and they looked like they were having fun. I am glad to hear it.

I wish I'd seen his stage work. There are many actors for whose sake I want a time machine, or at least an impossible video library.

It was great!

Thank you! It was pretty much exactly what I needed.

Thank you! I am very glad you think so.
You'll have to teach me how to get poems accepted with in 48 hours of writing them
I have useless talents . . .

He was part of the restoration; I think he was also part of the rediscovery of Powell and Pressburger in the 1970's, which I'm very glad they lived to see.
Good luck in your pursuit.
Thank you! We found our prey, and it was beautiful.
