I came upon this post while idly fflist surfing, and my ears perked up at the mention of Powell and Pressburger, toward whose work I nurse similar evangelical fervor. I notice that my favourite P&P film (and a worthy contender for the title of my favourite film of ALL TIME), A Matter of Life and Death, is missing from the list. I figure it was accidentally left out, but in the slim chance that you haven't seen it yet (the film was unavailable for the longest time stateside), it just came out on region 1 DVD (http://www.amazon.com/Michael-Powell-Feature-Consent-Stairway/dp/B001IZNIV4) under the US title of Stairway to Heaven a few months ago, packaged with Age of Consent, a later solo effort by Powell featuring a very young and nubile Helen Mirren. At $19, it's an absolute steal.

I haven't seen A Canterbury Tale and The Small Black Room yet. Your posts regarding the former have me resolved to seek it out ASAP!
