Come down to the seashore and there I'll be waiting
I cannot imagine that anyone on my friendlist does not already have a subscription to
greygirlbeast's Sirenia Digest, but should this be the strange case, you might want to consider picking one up: this month's issue will contain her story "Fish Bride" (with illustration by Vince Locke, which I am dying to see), the detailed synopsis for a never-written X-Files novel by her and
docbrite, and my poem "A Hundred Years on the Eastern Shore." This last was written for
greygirlbeast on her birthday and we can all be thankful it contains no sparkly vampires. And there you and I can take all our sleep . . .

I find her to be neither of these things; she is one of my favorite prose stylists working at the moment. The other half of this sentence is that she's a friend of mine. I do not expect as a reader to persuade you out of your opinion, but I do consider the language in which it's expressed a little unnecessary.

Understood. I'm sorry. Better luck next month.

You may be right; since you expressed your initial dislike with a sound effect, I probably should not have asked for clarification. But it is possible to discuss an author's style non-combatively.
