I see you framed through time
I am returned from New York City. I went for the weekend with my parents, my brother, and his fiancée; there should be a post about the trip tomorrow. For now, because I am sleepless, I note only that that the revival of South Pacific was terrific (and we were lucky enough to see the last night of the complete original cast), I need to spend more time at the Museum of Modern Art, and four of my poems seem to have been nominated for the 2009 Rhysling Award: "Autopoiesis" (Lone Star Stories #26), "Cherries in Winter" (Goblin Fruit #8), "Logos" (Lone Star Stories #29), and "The Devourer" (Mythic Delirium #19).
ericmarin,
tithenai and
mer_moon,
time_shark, thank you, all of you. Daylight Savings Time? No love, thank you. Goodnight.

And South Pacific, way cool.

Glad South Pacific was terrific. I hope all the rest of your and your family's stay was equally lovely.
Did you stop in any of the parks, to see if you could meet a bold squirrel?
I actually went in myself on Saturday, which is something I usually try not to do--there was a singing workshop with Seosaimhín Ní Bheaglaoich.
I've no love for Daylight Savings Time, either. Especially not this morning.
Good night, and I hope you sleep well.

Is there a list of nominations somewhere? I'm not seeing anything on the SFPA website.

Thank you for providing the links. I'll be reading these before I take on the rest of the day :)

...Last performance with original cast of this run, or were there some REALLY OLD PEOPLE talking happy talk?

*snerk*
Original run of the revival cast. Kelli O'Hara was five months pregnant—we had no idea going in, but we saw her last night before her replacement takes over. She was still worth seeing, though. Also Paulo Szot. I want to hear him in operas now.

Thank you! A nice present for the returning sleep-deprived.

Let me know what they think! They will be seeing the actress who took over Nellie Forbush from Kelli O'Hara—see reply to

I don't know if it's gone up yet; I just got an e-mail from Drew Morse.

Thank you and of course another collection is something I want! The question is how to get it . . .

Most welcome!
. . . No. Should we have?
Hmm, that depends on how you feel about squirrels jumping onto your knee. This being what happened to me last Wednesday when I was eating lunch in Madison Square. I think there's a post about it on my LJ.

I didn't know if it was an experience you were recommending.

Oh, I see. Sorry for misreading you.
I'm... not sure, really. It was interesting, in an odd sort of way, and I reckon if life were an rpg I'd probably get some experience points for it.
I do have to admit that I'm planning to go back with peanuts to see if I can find that squirrel again.
