My mother sent me out one day to gather cockles from the sea
My poem "Bonny Fisher Boy," written for
seajules, is now online at Scheherezade's Bequest, the online counterpart of Cabinet des Fées. It's a small jewel of a journal. This issue, there are gorgeous pieces by Patricia Russo, Alison Lowery, and
upstart_crow, too, among others.

Perhaps this is due to that long-standing crush on Kir from Patricia McKillip's The Changeling Sea.

Bonny Fisher Boy
It quite took my breath away. I lingered on it, then I copied it down (with your name on it, of course) to save, so I could read it again and again.
It's most beautiful love poem I've read in, oh, quite some time, anyway. And it captures the flash and depth of the sea, too.
