The dusty light, the final hour

My ability to get any sleep has deranged like a spiderweb on LSD, but just a moment ago in the street it was thinly but distinctly snowing. I turned on WHRB and got Michael Tippett's A Child of Our Time (1944). I still can't believe Opera Boston folded right before they would have staged the Mozart-out-of-Eliot Hermetic crack of The Midsummer Marriage (1955). I can't believe in impending Thanksgiving.

We had tiny flurries in Davis you could see if you looked out the window hard enough, and at one point little ice pellets sticking to the ground before melting entirely. Several theater staff went outside, arms outstretched, and celebrated the snow. One of them is from California so we could understand and appreciate the overjoyed response.

I didn't trust the tech to a Spotify link, but thank goodness, it's on Bandcamp.

I have heard that spiders on LSD did strange things, but your simile makes me want to go look for photos. I feel like we're living in that spider's web ....

Hope you can lay some snares and catch some sleep sometime soon.

In the pictures I've seen the LSD web was just incomplete, while the caffeine and chloral hydrate ones were more bizarre.

Yeah, when I searched, the LSD webs just looked sad and falling apart (worse than the LSD example in your link). From that link, the benzedrine web is the one that most grabs me (though the chloral hydrate one was very minimalist in an interesting way).
