You know what comes right after the dark

My poem "The Avalon Procedure" has been accepted by Not One of Us. It is finally Arthuriana; it owes its title as well as a debt of argument to Bryher and the rest is diaspora and geology. I still have apples on my table from earlier, brighter this autumn, and their scent of sweet orchards and cooling earth. If you want in on the saddle-stapled pages of this enduringly black-and-white 'zine, I can only recommend it.

And me with nothing to hand! I fear if I tried to pome, it might get some zeitgeist on it.

Today I took a middle schooler's phone because we are a phone-free school and he said "I was just asking ChatGPT--" and I DID NOT say because I am a MODEL of restraint, "Young man, you're prompting with Hitler!"

Many autumnal felicitations on a poem to a good home.

*pats the hood*
So much zeitgeist.

I just keep coming up with My candle burns at both ends, it will not last the night and I strongly think someone already wrote that and it rhymes loudly. It is full of the zeitgeist, I'll give it that.

Congratulations!

This is probably way off the mark, but in the short run I am enjoying the title of the poem because it sounds like the title of an Anthony Price novel.
