"Communicating in quotations": I read an article long ago about Lucille Ball. The author interviewed many of her fans. She was well into one of the interviews before she realized that *every* response to her questions was a quotation from I Love Lucy. IIRC, her reaction was along the lines of "what have I gotten myself into?"
