Wow, that was creepy, really well done, and very Alan Garner (and the first video version of any of his work that I've encountered).

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! It was also my first televised Garner.

When I was much younger I read and adored his Weirdstone of Brisingamen & The Moon of Gomrath, and far more recently, I read Boneland, which was definitely the oddest sequel to anything I've ever read.

My formative Garner really was The Owl Service, although I would later discover he had written some collections of folktales which I had read in elementatry school. Red Shift is my other favorite of his novels. Did you like Boneland when you came to it?
