It is set in France, despite everyone being British anyway
Very popular choice, apparently! I hope it continues as well as it began. I have positive feelings toward Ronald Harwood based almost entirely on The Dresser (1983).
I watched A Village Affair earlier this year, again for JN, which was directed by a fave 60s/70 director Moira Armstrong, who also did two very good episodes of SotT and shot James Maxwell in a way that no other director did.
What did she see in him that she wanted other people to see?
Well, not really, but it's way more Nathaniel Parker than I've seen... maybe ever??
Nathaniel Parker plays Wilfred Owen in Derek Jarman's War Requiem (1989)!
(Stardust may in fact have been the first place I saw him.)
