If you need love, I've got enough to cover you
Due to the hecticity of the week, it transpires that yesterday was actually the tenth anniversary of Kittening Day, when our household became home to the kittens of destiny who would grow into cats of legend. Hestia is celebrating the day observed with plenty of Bird Theater after dining on kippers, the coveted human food. Her brother will always be in memory, the shadow-weight on my shoulder. They were so tiny and so much themselves, that decade ago.

For dessert just now, she triumphantly hunted and devoured a bug!

She has been a bug hunter from her earliest days. Within her first month with us, I watched her deliver a killing bite to a bluebottle.

Thank you! She seemed to, although of course an hour later she was persuading me she had never been fed.

He never lost his love of bottlecaps. He would hunt them all across the floor singing and then he would put them in his mouth with his paws and carry them around the house and stash them under the couch or drop them meaningfully in front of a person to have them tossed into the air so that he could catch them on the wing.
