Maybe also "Party Girl"? Oh and "Blues in the night"? Hangover Square?
I've never seen Party Girl or Blues in the Night, but the title of one sounds right and I see the other contains Cyd Charisse, so I'm for it! Any excuse to include Hangover Square. Whiplash (1948) has thematically significant nightclub songs, I've just remembered: "The sound of the Lorelei, singing."
I'll have to think about this a bit more, when I have more brain!

Whenever! Rest up well.
