Windows are not supposed to jump out of their frames! What in the world. That is too disconcerting; and like so much other unaccountable behavior of inanimate objects that rampage freely around, should not be allowed.

Now I feel that my window blinds are glowering at me and plotting revenge.

As for the rest, I fear that many human brains really like Manichean nonsense. There should be an inoculation for it.
