I love the way Howl's Moving Castle is told from Sophie's point of view, so that Ingary is just naturally the way things are, and Wales is strange and fantastic; for me, this underpins the use of Donne's Song in the book. Inevitably, these things don't make it into Miyazaki's film (about which I have spoken at spoilerish length in the past).
