My first thought reading this was wondering how to smack the face of notorious jerk Laurence Fox with it.

And he lives in the UK, too, so if you can get to the BFI, you can do it with an actual print.

He wrote a whiny thing about how the appearance of soldiers of color pulled him out of the story in "1917," because they wouldn't have been there. There were replies, of course.

Of course he did. I'm glad people pushed back appropriately, but he could also just shut up.

There were some among the ghost soldiers of the Somme in July 2016, so not everybody is a denier.

You're welcome! There are a lot of films I don't know about until I stumble across them, but this one I was surprised I had never heard of, between the people involved and the history. (The internet informs me that I could have heard of it last year if I followed Sanjeev Bhaskar on Twitter.)
