I have never seen her as anyone other than Helena and she's fantastic. Do you recommend the 2006 ITV Dracula overall?
Like, no, because it is very silly, and could have been so great - like, not a faithful adaptation but one of the best of the rest. But also yes because it's an amazing cast, & Jonathan & Mina are the best Jonathan & Mina (RIP Jonathan, though, lol), and they do some interesting things, and it's so pretty! And it's not very long or anything.
I keep rewatching it because I am convinced that next time it will magically have turned good or they will have let David Suchet out of the cupboard with enough time to save it all, but then it is all about Arthur's syphilis and blood cults again.
But obv. I do prefer the one with Denholm Elliott & co if you're going to watch ITV one off short unfaithful adaptations of Dracula that do pretty interesting things. It's not all about Arthur's syphilis!! XD
BUt, yes, I liked Stephanie Leonidas. I am much slower to look up current people than old ones, but I'm glad to hear she's also good in this as well. I was aware of MirrorMask being some sort of film or something as well as the picture book, but I had just assumed that it was animated because of Dave McKean.
