And when you see me, am I the specter on your glass?
I am extremely pleased to announce that my short story "Tea with the Earl of Twilight" has been accepted for reprint by The Year's Best Dark Fantasy & Horror: Volume Two, edited by Paula Guran and forthcoming from Pyr Books. It was originally published last fall in Nightmare Magazine #96; it was written in the late winter of 2020, right before the world closed down, and so like all hauntology it is filled with lost futures. Thank you again to
ashlyme for the title that sparked the painting. I miss walking its waterways.

-- and do hear me out on this --
your work is recognizably some of the best we're ever going to get?
*chews placidly on an oyster*
Some people might want it all in one place. What's the word for that? It's a super compelling idea but it's just wandered off from my head. A collation? A numptybus?

Thank you! I prefer to think there was a lot in the title for me to find.

Like the Greek Anthology for just one person? It'll never catch on.

*resumes paddling gently, against the current as required, in a strew of picked oyster-shells, without comment*
