Icon very much appreciated by me!

I feel closer to the series I watched in real time, a week or more between.

That makes a certain amount of sense to me. I wonder if they go into storage differently. I have a three-dimensional recall of books I read in print; I can't reproduce the effect with the infinite scroll of the internet or even the electronically changing pages of e-books, which I prefer not to read.

It's finally available on DVD but without captions, which is criminal since the sound mix is stuffed full of music, helicopters, artillery, and other impediments to decoding speech.

I am not even a person who likes to watch with captions and come on. [personal profile] spatch often uses them at night when he's watching and I'm asleep.

So: good acting, great music on the sound track, would like to rewatch someday.

The music was the other element of the show I had really heard about, because of the difficulties in obtaining the rights for home release. You make the rest of it sound equally worthwhile. If I can ever figure out how to get four seasons of something into my brain in a timely and non-destructive fashion, I will shortlist it.
