I can see that. It was probably part of the film's terrible marketing, but then I don't know why my brain wants to replace it with "You Will Believe a Penis Can Manage a Band."
Having now seen it (thanks!), I think it would make a good double bill with Tapeheads (1988).

Get Crazy would actually have fit right into a repertory series the Somerville did in 2019 called Reel Films/Fake Bands—That Thing You Do! (1996), Almost Famous (2000), This Is Spinal Tap (1984), Ladies and Gentlemen, the Fabulous Stains (1982), etc. We have no idea if it was even under consideration, but are feeling sort of wistful anyway. It really does make me think of the Muppets, though. I suspect The Muppet Show was my original template for professionally putting on a show, but also a certain level of explosions.
