Heavy on the yak butter?

I can't pinpoint the difference in spices—this particular restaurant didn't seem to serve yak—but it did taste different than Indian curry, and I would gladly go back to investigate. (Particularly because this restaurant makes some kind of steamed dumplings with spinach and potato that are like vegetable crack. I blame [livejournal.com profile] rushthatspeaks for ordering them: like I don't have enough addictions already.) Do you know anything about Tibetan cooking?
