spatch has had to listen to me being impressed with Ethan Phillips all week. I've seen him in almost nothing! Ironically, he features on the original cast recording of the Broadway musical of My Favorite Year (1992) which I've owned since college, but he's playing the character of Herb, who until the last minute canonically never speaks except through his writing partner Alice. Who was Andrea Martin in the original production, so, you know, I understand that as a musical it had problems, but I still want a time machine.
