I'm not the only one here if the moon is out
I appear to be experiencing the rare-for-me kind of period that makes me feel I lost a barfight to a pair of steel-toed boots, but the plan for the day was to spend it with my niece and I have rewardingly done so. She was recently given a kit of multicolored polymer clays. We made her a cat.

Not pictured: its orange ball of yarn and the ice cream cone my niece made all by herself. She will take them home tomorrow and fire them with her parents. I don't think I had worked with polymer clay since Girl Scouts. I wonder where my glossy Fimo hedgehog is.

She kept petting it, very carefully, with one finger, so as not to dent it before it could be baked.

Thank you! My father said it reminded him of Krazy Kat, which was a compliment.

It is important to get cats right!

I am really pleased with it!
(I did most of the cat-making, but she was in charge of oversight and contributed the little white paws.)

I still need to see that!

Thank you! I am proud of the eyes, but I think the little pink nose was especially successful.

It is a very good cat, and I hope it goes through the firing process successfully.

Thank you! And I am delighted that you think it looks like Krazy Kat, too; I suspect it will also delight my father.

A generic cat is no cat at all!

I disturb the loafing of even polymer clay cats at my peril.
(Thank you.)
