Oh, huzzah!

Thank you! I am trying not to let so many of the movies I love languish unremarked. There's a depressing number of them.

Also, I am here for courtship[s that] could be mistaken for a merger of pragmatism. They're very present in my brain. *ducks* Also that may crop up elsewhere with credit.

Felicitations on turning Ibsen's proto-feminist downer into a Christmas movie! You are the only one who could have made me believe it.

I take that seriously and I am glad to have done so. That said, I can't ultimately think of the story as a downer when it ends with Nora leaving. It would have been a tragedy if she had stayed.
