This was the first Kaurismaki film I ever saw, I was there for Léaud as much as anything, but I went back for more Kaurismaki thereafter.

I can understand that. I'm interested in his entire back catalogue now. What have you liked best?

And, yes, it documents a moment of extraordinary transformation in Londin's Docklands.

I happen to consider it a feature rather than a bug, but it's that thing where all movies are eventually ghost stories.
