I hate to tell the biographer this, but women field scientists today ALSO have to fit everything in around their kids. "As a woman of her time" indeed.
Seconded for the biopic yesterday, and I suggest Kristen Stewart for the role. She's probably a bit too traditionally pretty, based on that photo, but I feel she could carry that vibe beautifully. And a director willing to leave her only as made-up as the men in film are (ie, for the lights and camera and no more) would mean she'd only be a bit too pretty, and, well, Hollywood does so love to make everyone a bit too pretty.
