Wow. So many of these I saw in the theater when they were first released - Innerspace, Rollerball, The Andromeda Strain and Escape from New York.
One of the things I really enjoy about the 'Thon is that every year they show movies I haven't seen and sometimes even movies I haven't heard of. I have a decent grounding in science fiction film up into the 1960's and then there's a drop-off of several decades that picks back up again in the mid-2000's. It's educational!
I did not like Sunshine at all when I saw it.
I liked it for two-thirds of its runtime and then I recall it fell off a serial killer cliff, but I was interested in rewatching it because I'd seen so many more Alex Garland's films since. What I remember of Sunshine actually bears some resemblance to Annihilation, except Annihilation does not fall apart.
And I used to love The Outer Limits, even though the stories terrified me as a child!
I need to see more of The Outer Limits. I was exposed to much more of The Twilight Zone.
