I saw some of those movies when they came out. My immediate response to "what followed Innerspace" was that Meg Ryan married Dennis Quaid, but that isn't much of a plot. I loved seeing "The Andromeda Strain" in a movie theater as a teen and have carefully not seen it since, although I breezed past it on TCM.
