Aww, lovely.

We knew that flower, when I was a kid, as "butter and eggs"--you can see why--but in England it's also known as toadflax, which is a lovely notion--can you imagine the toad linen it produces?

What a lovely present from October. Right about now is the time when I really regret that I did not plant any annuals. So when they decide to just show up, it is such a great joy.

That's a lovely visitor to have. There's also ivy-leaved toadflax over here. It creeps all over my folks' patio, mauve and gold and very pretty.
